Other Running of the Bulls?

Other Running of the Bulls?

Welcome to bull country, Spain, where it is always a pleasure welcoming you to Native Spanish Tapas, where we offer Madrid tapas tours through a local’s perspective. It’s time again, as every year for the mighty running of the bulls, or fiestas de “San Fermin“, in Navarra, the north of Spain. Did you know that just about every town or village in Spain has its own running of the bulls? That’s right, and today we are going to recommend some near Madrid.
But first of all, let’s see what makes San Fermín stand out from the rest, and the answer is…, Mr. Ernest Hemingay. Yep, he wrote about it showcasing this dangerous bull procession to the world. What if he had done it elsewhere?, like the south of Spain, or the east or the west…, we’ll never know.
These festivities are held during the patron saint festivals of towns or villages in Spain. Not only are there bulls, but also popular Spanish tapas get-togethers, where they feast on some of the best Spanish tapas, home-style of course.
Native Spanish Tapas recommends going to the following running of the belows in Madrid or to nearby towns, below is a list of the town or village, distances from Madrid and the dates where the festivities are held on:
