1- Tartan Roof (at Círculo de Bellas Artes, Metro stop: Banco de España)
Without a doubt, this Madrid terrace is a must during your visit to Madrid; it has amazing views of the old and new parts of Madrid. Circulo de Bellas Artes is a cultural center and museum, check out their expositions coming up, (http://www.circulobellasartes.com/exposiciones/), the terrace includes a lunch menu of plates from 8€ and up. Their Spanish tapas are quite tasty too!
2- El Viajero (at La Latina wine quarter, Metro stop: La Latina)
This quaint restaurant is an icon to the beautiful Latina quarter, it has a restaurant downstairs with international cuisine, the second floor becomes a chill-out lounge in the evenings and the roof top is spectacular! It has views to the old part of the historical Hapsburg Madrid area. Be prepared to wait in line for a table, it is packed with locals and tourists.
3- Casa Granada (a 7 minute Walk from Puerta del Sol, Metro stop: Tirso de Molina)
What became as a secret for Madrid locals has become one of the most popular terraces in Madrid. It is quite unique because it was originally an apartment, so to access it, you must ring the buzzard downstairs letting you in the building. The Spanish tapas here are traditional and delicious.
