Madrid Historical Tapa Tour
A fun combination of history and trusty local tapas. Starting from 16th century Madrid through its gorgeous architecture and amazing centuries old quaint streets, all the way up to more recent historical facts and anecdotes of modern-day Madrid.
On route, we’ll be stopping at four different family-run local favorite hangouts for some of Madrid’s most delicious tapas like Jamón Serrano, Manchego Cheese, Chorizo, Spanish Tortilla or a zesty Shrimp platter, just to mention some… and savor on some delicious Rioja wine, sangria or beer.
Just as the local’s do here, we will be standing up at the first three tapas bars and leave the sitting down for the last bar for some more additional traditional tapa servings, always finishing off with some authentic “chupitos” or soothing herbal shots of Pacharán or Licor de Hierbas.
We’ll begin at the center of Madrid’s Puerta del Sol, head towards Plaza Mayor, Market of San Miguel, scroll through quaint picturesque side streets near Calle Segovia, the old Muslim wall, the Royal Palace and head back to Puerta del Sol.
